Public Notice – Local Law No. 5 Adopted on December 15, 2022
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Tyre approved Local Law No. 5 of 2022 on December 15, 2022, which repealed Local Law #4 of 2018 that enacted a Solar Energy Law and amended the Zoning Law of the Town of Tyre to do the following:
- Add and amend definitions
- Add solar energy systems as specially permitted uses in the Agricultural District, High Density Residential District, Commercial District West, Commercial District East, Industrial District, and Mixed-Use District
- Add a new section enacting regulations for solar energy systems
- Amend the powers and duties of the Planning Board relative to special use permits
- Amend administration provisions
- Amend regulations dealing with the application process and application details
- Delete the section dealing with Planning Board action on permit applications
- Amend the specially permitted uses in the Commercial District West
- Amend the Bulk and Use Tables to add provisions dealing with large-scale solar energy systems in the Agricultural District, High Density Residential District, Commercial District West, Commercial District East, Industrial District, and Mixed-Use District
- Amend the Bulk and Use Table to delete bank and financial institution as a use class in the Commercial District West requiring a special use permit
- Insert a Zoning Map
