Public Notice – Public Hearing by Tyre Town Board September 21, 2023 6:30 p.m.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Tyre on September 21, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at the Town of  Tyre Municipal Building, 1082 Gravel Road, in Seneca County, New York, to consider the adoption of Local Law No. 5 of 2023 of the Town of Tyre, which would amend the Town of Tyre Zoning Law to provide for minimum setbacks from solar energy systems and ground-mounted battery energy storage systems to residential dwellings located on adjacent properties as well as resolve an inconsistency in the definition of the term “setbacks” in the zoning law to consistently reference front setbacks from road centerlines.

All persons interested shall be given an opportunity to be heard.  Local Law No. 5 of 2023 is available for public inspection during regular business hours at the Town Clerk’s office, by requesting an electronic copy by contacting the Town Clerk at townclerk@tyreny.com, or at the Town website at http://tyreny.com/.
